Almost a month after the start of the World Cup, the farewell match of the Argentine women's soccer team was presented. The announcement was made with the presence of Mariana Larroquette, Vanesa Santana, Dalila Ippólito, Aldana Cometti and the technical director of the team, Germán Portanova at the AFA in Ezeiza.
The friendly match, against Peru, will take place on July 14 at the stadium in the city of San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Province of Buenos Aires.
During the meeting, Dalila Ippólito, the forward of Parma (Italy), recounted her experience of having felt part of the Argentine National Team after playing her first World Cup in France in 2019 "It was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to make the leap to Europe, the great step of my career I followed my dream, something that comes from many generations. What we are achieving is a very important and incredible achievement, there are many life stories in each player.”
For her part, the Madrid CFF defender, Aldana Cometti, showed her joy and confidence in front of the team. “What we achieved the most in these friendly matches was finding the way to play that we felt comfortable with, in the Copa América we were able to play well and win games. We have many things to polish, for those are the training sessions and the analysis of the rival. The important thing is that we all unite with the same goal.”
The technical director, Germán Portanova, reflected on the team's preparation: “It is not easy to manage expectations, but we have a firm backbone from so many joys that they have given us in the process. We want to have the information of the rivals, play as we have been doing with difficult teams. Hopefully we can stay in history." concluded the DT of the Argentine women's soccer team.
