Torneos, a company in the entertainment industry, 3C Films and UPM Hits, announce the production of “Sandro”, a musical about the life of the legendary Argentine singer.
To premiere in 2025 on Corrientes Street, the work will recreate the character from his talent as a singer and showman, and will also be a testimony of the man and his dreams. It will be a Broadway-style musical-dramatic show, using high technology, through which the public will be able to live a unique and multi-sensory experience of international level.
With a repertoire of 14 songs, the planned artistic and musical display will evoke Sandro's successful concerts at the height of his popularity, but with a current production updated to 2025. "For us it is a great pride to venture into theatrical production with a life as powerful as Sandro's. There are many artists who marked a before and after with their music, with their scenic art, with their dedication and their talent, but only a few have become legends,” said Leonardo De Pinto and Silvina Dell'Occhio, Regional Director of Contents and Tournament Content Manager, respectively.
“At 3C Films we are delighted to be able to create content around an idol of Sandro's stature. With his family we have been working for many years with different ideas and projects, and completing this work fills us with pride. It is a huge professional challenge. But that's not all! We have many more surprises prepared for 2024 and 2025,” commented Juan Crespo and Luciano Foppoli, CEO and Director of 3C Films respectively.
From UPM hits, José Luis Pagán assures that: “We are moved to be able to bring Sandro's music and life to the stage in a way never seen before. It is an unprecedented challenge from a musical and scenic point of view; and we are happy to be able to bring the history of this unique icon to an audience that will surely live a unique experience.” “Sandro. the Musical” has the official support of his family and his widow, Mrs. Olga Garaventa de Sánchez, in addition to his work team, Sandro Producciones (Pablo Ferraudi, Graciela Guiñazú, Eduardo Barone and Gabriel Maspero) who were excited and optimistic about this fabulous project.
In this regard, Olga said that “It makes me very happy to know that my husband's memory and art will be valued once again, just as he deserves. It is a beautiful project and I know that this wonderful team that has been formed is going to make a respectful and dazzling musical.”
